An awareness program was organized to celebrate the International Day of Older Persons at the Bhadrachalam T.S.G.R.E.A. office.
on this occasion, DHEW DMC . Santosh Roopa said that the elderly in the family should be treated with respect and treated with love and care without disrespecting them under any circumstances. She said that everyone should act responsibly towards the elderly.
Elderly people are advised to call the toll free number 14567 if they face any problems. She urged the elderly to take advantage of the senior citizen services provided by the government.
It was suggested on this occasion that everyone in the family and society should be aware of the rights, welfare and safety of the elderly. A pledge was made regarding the care of the elderly. After that Food packs were donated to the poor people in the office. The local Habitat for Humanity organization supported it. President G. Bhushana Rao, Joint Secretary G. V. Satyanarayana, Vice Presidents Y. Ramachandra Rao, Rajeswara Rao and others participated.
